Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
In the slums of San Lorenzo, most families live without running water or adequate food. Instead of going to school, many children work manual labor jobs to help feed their families, or they resort to life on the streets, where they are often tempted to turn to drugs and prostitution.
Your generous gift will support a Catholic day center, Chicos de la Calle, which is run by Salesian priests and sets these children on the right path through enrichment activities, tutoring, spiritual formation, and free school supplies and meals.
In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating and ideal synergy for the greatest impact.
Giving monthly is a small way to have a big impact. Your regular support empowers our ministry to respond to urgent needs and fulfill our long-term projects across the world.
Become a Cross Mission Partner today and experience the joy of changing lives every month through your gift.
At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2024, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
