A tragic number of young women in Belize have had to set aside their education because they simply could not afford to attend a quality school. It is a terrible situation because it perpetuates poverty in Belize. When a young woman isn’t educated, she usually can’t get a good job, so she remains poor and her children face the same roadblocks as they grow up — and this cycle of poverty continues generation after generation.
The Sisters of Mercy are eager to help impoverished teen girls by providing scholarships to attend St. Catherine Academy, a highly respected Catholic secondary school. Your generous support will have a profound impact on these young women as you empower them to graduate from high school and pursue their lofty career goals. Financial Accountability
At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Audited Financials FY2022
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2024, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
