Health Care in Malawi

St. Cynthia Health Center

Donate to help transform lives

Daily life is extremely challenging for people living in remote villages in rural Malawi, and accessing proper care can be especially daunting for pregnant women and the elderly.

Until recently, the nearest medical services were up to 11 miles away, so destitute villagers had to walk or ride on the back of a bicycle over rutted, dirt roads to be treated. Many suffered or even died because they were unable to make the journey. Compassionate Catholics responded to their need by building a new health center, and now our help is needed to provide operational costs for the center’s first year.

Our Global Work

In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating an ideal synergy for the greatest impact.

Financial Accountability

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Fundraising & Administrative Expenses 4.62%
More than 95 percent of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor.
Audited Financials FY2021

When you select an aid project, your donation to that project will be used to cover any expenditures for the project incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry's fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
