More than 300 thousand people in the Dominican Republic have fallen into poverty since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. While poverty does not discriminate, women and children living in the country’s remote bateyes communities suffer most.

These women and children live in patchwork shelters that offer almost no protection from the winds, rain and vermin that plague their poor communities. The Batey Relief Alliance is committed to helping these women escape extreme poverty by building them safer, more sanitary housing. By supporting this vital mission of mercy, you can ensure these impoverished families have the stability of a home and enjoy the peace of Christ!

Financial Accountability

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Audited Financials FY2022

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2024, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
