Though illegal in Kenya, female genital mutilation (FGM) is a rite-of-passage for many young girls in Maasai society, preparing them to receive a dowry in exchange for marriage to a much older man.

In response, the Marie Adelaide Girls Rescue Center rescues girls before FGM can take place, and provides them with shelter, food, counseling and the opportunity to attend a local school. With your help, we can rescue young girls and give them an opportunity for a better future!

Financial Accountability

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Fundraising & Administrative Expenses 4.62%
More than 95 percent of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor.
Audited Financials FY2021

When you select an aid project, your donation to that project will be used to cover any expenditures for the project incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry's fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
