Populorum Progressio Foundation – Home Gardens for Impoverished Families

Donate to help transform lives

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is home to the resort city Cancún and the popular cruise ship destination of Cozumel. What many don’t see is the abject poverty many local families face as they struggle to put food on the table — a troubling situation that has grown worse after two consecutive years of slumping tourism.

Cáritas of Quintana Roo wants to provide a path of hope for 80 families by helping them cultivate home gardens. Donate now to protect vulnerable children and families from malnutrition and empower families with a sustainable source of income.

Our Global Work

In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating and ideal synergy for the greatest impact.

Financial Accountability

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Fundraising & Administrative Expenses 5.82%
More than 94 percent of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor.
Audited Financials FY2022

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
