Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
Catholic nonprofit follows Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s mission to serve the poorest of the poor across the globe
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Sept. 15, 2022 – Cross Catholic Outreach, an official Catholic ministry that partners with bishops, priests, religious and lay workers to aid the poor and vulnerable children and families in international communities, is partnering with Fathom Events in support of “Mother Teresa: No Greater Love,” a documentary produced by the Knights of Columbus. The film reveals who Mother Teresa was, as well as providing viewers with a greater understanding of her singular vision to serve Christ through the poor – a mission that continues to be carried on through the religious order she founded, the Missionaries of Charity.
Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy ministry will be featured in a video prior to each screening of “Mother Teresa: No Greater Love,” which will be released by Fathom Events in theaters nationwide Monday, Oct. 3 and Tuesday, Oct. 4.”
“We are honored to help raise awareness of Mother Teresa’s life and ministry, and we believe the film ‘Mother Teresa: No Greater Love’ will be an inspiration to everyone who sees it,” said Jim Cavnar, president of Cross Catholic Outreach. “Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity model the way we should all serve the poorest of the poor. To this day, her order fulfills the biblical call to help those in need with an unconditional love. Those who do are blessed by the experience too. As Mother Teresa said, ‘The poor give us much more than we give them.’”
“The Knights of Columbus have given the Church a wonderful gift by producing ‘Mother Teresa: No Greater Love.’ By showcasing the remarkable work of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity, the film celebrates both the power of our faith and the importance of Catholic missions,” Cavnar said.
